Four covered courts with a players’ lounge and bar in the garden slope below the guest wings, and an open-air court on the beachfront for daylight play. Monday to Thursday anyone can book; Friday to Sunday the courts are kept for guests staying at the resort. Book here and pay securely by BDO.

Friday to Sunday is for in-house guests. Every court, Vanishing included, is kept for guests staying at Discovery Samal. When you book, we check your surname and room or reservation number against the resort’s guest list.
The four covered courts run 07:00 to 23:00, the open-air court 07:00 to 19:00, Philippine Standard Time. Hours marked Open Play are club sessions; join them below rather than booking the court.

Reception will email your BDO payment link to , usually within fifteen minutes. Pay within 30 minutes of receiving it to confirm the court. Quote this reference if you call.
Sessions
Come on your own and leave with four new partners. Sessions are capped and seeded by level, so the games stay even. Winners stay on; the next pair is called from the lounge screen.
You give your level when you book. Reception splits the courts so the games are even — a 2.5 never spends the night across the net from a 4.0.
Games run to 11. The winning pair holds the court; the losing pair steps off and waits in the lounge.
The court monitor names the next pair up, so nobody has to watch the clock or argue about whose turn it is.

Lounge screen
Every Open Play and club match counts. The board resets each month, and the top four are seeded into the monthly Paddle Club tournament. Ask reception to add your name before your first session.
The same table runs on the monitor above the lounge bar, together with upcoming matches and club announcements.

The facility
A single-storey pavilion of 45 by 27.9 metres, set into the slope with a planted roof. Four courts of 225.5 sq m each, arranged around a central reception, lounge and bar — with a fifth court open to the sky in the garden beyond.
Court 05
The fifth court sits on the beachfront lawn between the shoreline path and the coconut line, a minute down from the lobby steps. Daylight play only — it takes its last hour at 18:00 and closes with the light.

How it works
Pick the date, the number of players and your hours on the grid, then add your name, email and mobile. Friday to Sunday, add your surname and room or reservation number too.
The request reaches the Paddle Club desk the moment you send it. Reception emails a BDO payment link, usually within fifteen minutes, and holds your court until then.
Pay online through BDO within 30 minutes of the email. A court that isn’t paid in time is released for other players. Payments are non-refundable.
Once reception sees your payment you get a confirmation email, and the Paddle Club team has your court, your paddles and your names on the screen before you arrive.

Yes, Monday to Thursday. Friday to Sunday the courts are kept for in-house guests, so the booking has to be made under a guest’s surname and room or reservation number. Visitors are also welcome at scheduled Open Play sessions, tournaments and private events.
Yes. We check your reservation, so you can book any hour from your arrival day until the day before you check out, up to 14 days ahead. Use the surname on the reservation and your reservation number if you don’t have a room yet.
Yes — that is what Open Play is for. Tick “pair me with players at my level” when you book, or simply join a session below. Reception seeds the courts so the games stay even.
Tick the paddle and ball set when you book. Two players get two paddles and three balls for ₱150 an hour; a group of four gets four paddles and six balls for ₱300 an hour. Chilled water and towels are complimentary.
Vanishing plays in daylight. Last light on Samal falls just after six, so the court takes its final hour at 18:00 and closes at 19:00. After that the four covered courts carry on until eleven — and they cost a little more, which is the trade.
Each court carries the names assigned to it, so you can see at a glance which court is yours. During Open Play the screen shows the winners and the next pair up. The larger screen above the lounge bar carries the club standings and upcoming matches.
